A drop of water - dear to you and me,
the cost is nothing - its given free.
It enlightens the life of many - good or bad,
comforts the weary - gladdens the sad.
To rich or poor - beggar or thief,
consoles all - of any belief.
A natures gift - to young and old,
cheers onthe faint - disarms the bold.
A boon ! - to birds and beasts,
matter of faith - for some atleast.
Unlike most blessings - for which we pray,
what do u call it? 'A drop of Rain' I say....!

The poem sounds like a jingle. So maybe the content being lighter or humorous in some way could have made this better.
The words used are suitable for the style. But the content, really had to be lighter I think.
